Who owns a domain name registered by a UK company that has now been dissolved and how can I get hold of it?

Hello. I want to register a domain name but the one I want is already registered to a company that has subsequently been dissolved (I checked with Companies House). Presumably the legal entity no longer exists so can I get hold of the domain name myself? Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed?
