. Wanted to paint Grich ornam?

Want to donate a Christmas Tree for the chldren's Hospital tree gala in November and wanted to paint grinch ornaments that I cut from wood. These trees are sold at the gala for the hospital to buy equipment. Is this a copyright violation?
