Considering Prime Cause and resulting effects...is it possible?

that a pebble thrown into a pool (Prime Cause) creates ripple-rings (effects/separation) that move outward from the center until they eventually disappear back into the pool from which they manifested? Can the manifested effects hold awareness of their cause until their return to that cause? If so, how so? This idea of cause/Cause and effect/separation seems the very essence of our condition of ego-ignorance, the sleep from which we must awaken. Would it not be possible to ride the ripple in full awareness of connection to cause until that ripple subsides and falls back into its Source?
