Why do I keep seeing Americans complaining about our Monarchy?

They don't understand how our government works. the don't understand the Constitutional role of the Monarch and they don't understand how the crown estates contribute more than the Queen gets in the Civil list. They don't understand how the Queen costs less than Air Force One's maintenance. The often don't understand England and Great Britain and the United Kingdom are all different things. They don't realise that even under George III the King had restrained power in the UK and that it was the British Parliament not Monarchy that was the main suppressing force when they were colonies. The UK does not get the same coverage in US media that the USA gets in the British media.
