How does the beginning of my story sound to you?
The moon illuminated the night and made my skin look like it was glowing. It was full moon and the night seemed appeased, almost as if nothing seemed to move--except for the nipping wind. I wrapped myself with the quilt my stepmom made for me. The trees from the forest made humanly figures against the house, making me somehwhat frightened. I closed my eyes and listened to the thuddering of my heart."Lara." I awoken to a gentle voice. I opened my eyes and realized I had fell asleep. "Lara." The voice whispered in my ear. I straightened and peered through the darkness. A figure emerged from the woods and stared in my direction. "Mom." I ranned off the porch and toward the forest. The figure continued moving further into the forest until the moon was hidden by the trees. "Lara." The voice chanted my name over and over. My feet tangled in shruvs and vines, making me fall on top of the frozen pond. The voice disappeared and left me all alone. "Stupid." I mumbled to myself and tried to stand on the ice. My feet slipped as I finally stood. The crevice began to widen and the ice broke before my eyes. I shifted my weight onone foot and slid to another smooth surface of solid ice. I slipped and fell hard against the ice, hitting the back of my head hard. A sharp pain shivered down my temples and across the back of my head. I felt the back of my head and gasped when I felt my hair soaked from blood. "Lara," The voice brought me back to actuality. "Scream!" The ice was breaking fast and I didn't have enough time to move. I opened my mouth, but before could let out a shriek, I felt a hand wrapped tightly around my wrist. "Mom!" I shouted, my eyes filled with tears. My body was numb. I opened my eyes to see a boy holding me. He effortlessly pulled me from the ice and laid me against the damp ground. I could barely see his face in the darkness. I edged away from him and tried to stand, but my legs were like two logs. I cried out hoarsly as the boy picked me up again and carried me. My eyes were heavy, shutting and opening constantly. "Don't touch me!" I yelled. His breath against my cheeks was warm as he laid me against a smooth surface. The moon shined over us, letting me see his face perfectly. He had sapphire eyes and black hair that was unique against his pale skin and rosy lips. He was dressed all in black, his wrists covered in purple bruises. His eyes darkened as he felt the back of my head. He stared at the crimson blood for a moment and closed his eyes. "I-I'm freeezing!" I cried, my whole body was frost bitten. He lifted my head and touched the wound that was still bleeding rapidly. He concentrated on my face and stared into my frightened eyes. "What in the hell were you doing out here?" He asked. That was the last thing I heard before drifting off...
