Are there no contemporary artists who match the greatness of old ones?

I guess that people start regarding someone else as a genius after the public has been able to imilate its work. For example, Bach wasn't really appreciated in his own time, but now he is considered to be one of the most influential artists ever. Personally, I am one of those who consider that contemporary art can't compete with that prior to the 20th century. We'll see if 200 years from now people consider Tarantino or Coppola as geniuses.
